When you are done configuring the Advanced Berth Scheduler Option, you can test ABS to make sure all functionality is available and working properly.
To be able to test ABS functionality, you must have the following privileges when you log on to an N4 client:
VESSEL_SCHEDULE_ADD
VESSEL_SCHEDULE_EDIT
VESSEL_SCHEDULE_VIEW
VESSEL_SCHEDULE_DELETE
VESSEL_VISIT_RECORD_SERVICE_EVENT

To test ABS functionality:
In a N4 client, do the following:
Create a vessel visit: N4 client Operations

Vessel Visits view
Add Vessel Visit form
Add a berth for the vessel that you created: N4 client Operations

Advance the vessel visit to one of the following visit phases: Inbound, Working, Complete, Departed (N4 client Operations

Vessels in the following visit phases do not appear in the XPS client: Created, Canceled, Closed, Archived
In an XPS client, do the following:
From the Vessel menu, select ABS Launch Pad.
In the ABS Launch Pad dialog box, from the Berth Range list, select the required range.
In the Begin and End fields, enter the required time frame.
From the Mode list at the bottom left, select Live Update Mode.
In the Berth Scheduler window, verify that the vessel visit block is visible.
From the Vessel menu, select ABS LaunchPad.
From the ABS LaunchPad dialog box, launch multiple Berth Scheduler windows to verify the accurate display of all your terminal and berth ranges.
Log out of the XPS client.
Log back in as a different user and test the user privileges for each user group that you have defined. For more information, see the manual Navis N4: Basics.
